You have a dental school in your state. If you got in there, would you go there or here?

One of the most important factor is cost of attendance in my decision, therefore I would choose state school over out of state.

Do you think that If I give this answer to my interviewer at an out of state school will decrease my chance of getting accepted at that school?

If you are mentioning it with the same language as you said here, then don't even bother with that interview. Of course they won't like it.

You should tell them that cost does matter in your consideration, and then tell them positive facts you liked about their school and why you would choose it over other schools.

Every interview counts. Do not blow the bridges.

If dental school was in my state and is considered "there," then where the hell is "here?"

And no, just be honest. Interviews can SMELL bull**** before it even comes out.

Cost is a huge issue but then it is not everything. Let them know the reasons that you like their school despite it is an out of state school.

That's right. You need to be careful with your answers.
