It's hard to get back to work sometimes after taking a study break so trying to find out ways to have an effective study break

Besides browsing SDN? Music. Listen to like, 2-5 songs to make a ten to fifteen minute break. Been doing it since HS.

Read the news, read SDN, read other websites etc. Usually, I run out of new things to read at one place then go back to work, rise and repeat until you're out of fun things to read. After that, if I still have work, my study breaks are usually filled with utter panic over the impending deadline.

Anything not on electronics- taking a walk outside makes an effective study break for me. It gives my eyes a break after staring at a screen for so long, and I can look into the distance, which is less straining than looking at something 2-3 feet from your face. The combination of physical activity and long-distance viewing is crucial. Doing yoga or some other exercise would probably be effective too.
Definitely the worst would be to continue sitting and go on another website. Those didn't feel like breaks at all, i.e. I came back to work no less stressed.

Yes. Definitely need to get up and look at something other than a book or computer. You need to do something different both physically and mentally.
