So, today I took the DAT for the second time. Here are my scores:

PAT: 22
QR: 21
RC: 21
BI: 20
GC: 20
OC: 17 😡
TS: 19
AA: 20

That OChem score really upset me, but I hope it won't hurt me too much. On top of that I have a 3.41gpa, my degree is now complete (B.S. in Biology with minors in chem & human physiology), over 200 shadowing hours, and 2.5 years of research experience (molecular biology).

I am applying to 19 schools (OHSU #1 Choice). How are my chances?

Last year I applied to 15 schools and got waitlisted at 4 (OHSU, Tufts, Temple, and Marquette). My GPA was about 3.39, I had half the shadowing hours year less of research work, and I hadn't finished my B.S.. Plus, my DAT scores were considerably less:

PAT: 19
QR: 20
RC: 22
BI: 18
CG: 17
CG: 17
TS: 17
AA: 19

I guess my big question/concern is...have I improved enough to get in this year? Any thoughts?

I think you improved a lot, but you should make sure to apply to some easy dental schools. OHSU is very hard to get into and so is marquette. I definitely think you have a chance, but make sure you apply to back up schools.

Which ones are the "easy" schools?

Why do you think OHSU and Marquette are any harder to get into than most other schools? The average DAT scores for these two schools are certainly lower than a lot of other dental schools. Of the schools I applied to I thought these two were in the "easier" to get into category.

Well, I got an interview at OHSU last year and made it on their waiting list. I know they have high GPA numbers, but being an Oregon resident helps.

Also, I applied to 19 schools this year...so I hope that one of the likes me.

I don't know if any are "easy" schools (or if there even is such a thing) but here's who I applied to: ASDOH, Pacific, UConn, Nova, Kentucky, Maryland, Boston, Tufts, Creighton (got an interview already!), UNLV, Columbia, NYU, Buffalo, UNC, OHSU, UPenn, Temple, VCU, and Marquette.
