I just finished my sophomore year majoring in Biochemistry with a 3.54 gpa and 3.5 sci gpa. I attend a small private college in NH and I'm a participant in two clubs: one pre-health related and the other is a chemistry club.
I have a small number of shadowing hours (18 hrs) and I am going to begin volunteering at a hospital this summer.
I will also be doing INBRE funded research in organic chemistry this summer.

If I find the time to study, I will be taking the DAT at the end of this summer.

Anyways, I'm just hoping people can give me some advice one how to improve my application and what schools I should look at as far as applying as a NH resident with my stats. I know I have a whole year until I apply but I would like to know what ppl's recommendations for schools are with my stats.

Any other advice/comments would also be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you aren't applying this year. At least that's what I got from your post. If you are applying next year, I think you are in a good position so far. You will need to increase your amount of shadowing hours in my opinion. Shadow a GP and then see if he/she can suggest some specialists for you to shadow if you are interested. Other than that, do well on your DAT and bring your GPA up (not that your GPA is bad, but increases are always positive) and you should be good.

Seems like you got everything in control. I'd try to increase my shadowing hours to 50-100.
