don't do it. call the adcom secretary if you want to know where they're at. if you know your file is complete and under review, just be patient and wait like everybody else. it sucks, but that's that.

If the school hasn't specified a particular email address for applicant queries, then I would call the school. Usually the deans aren't involved with the mundane, day to day handling of applicants files, which is normally managed by a couple of secretaries (and whom you might be transfered to if you call). Thus, call the school, speak to the secretary, and specifically state what infomration you are wanting.
