Okay so I know this thread died a while ago but anyway. Just wanted to update anyone who remembers that my son's strabismus operation is scheduled for 7:15 tomorrow morning. Unfortunately that's about two hours before we normally wake up so that will be fun. Of course I will have to try to keep it together for him at least until he's out. I did find out today that they won't do his IV or anything traumatic until he's asleep. I would appreciate any prayers or good thoughts you can send his way. Thanks guys!! 😍

Thanks everyone! So the surgery went well. He didn't freak out when the nurse took him away but he did have the silly juice first. 😛 It took him a while to come out of the anesthesia fog and cried on the way home but then we took a nap together and he's been better since then. We have to give him eyedrops three times a day which is not fun to do with a 3 year old in case anyone was wondering. 🙄

BTW, BeachBlondie I think you might get banned for the first pic in your last post. 😉

but, the only thing that was holding me from transitioning to my medical student career and to enjoy the rest of my summer was my cafe, which I had for sale for a few months, and today, some guy and his wife came in and out of the blue bought it right there on the spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOOOOOOO I have till June 30th til closing, and then I am off for a quick 2 week vacation back home (Greece) and I can finally relax again... maybe go to Mykonos or Santorini... or Serbia again... I don't knowwwwwwwww.

But, I am quite sad because I fixed this cafe from the ground up, everything is my design, my sweat, my blood... and now its someone elses... but its a learning experience and now its over. I don't know if I should be happy or sad, I have the first check of two and looking at the money makes me happy yet thinking of it not being mine anymore makes me sad. I think i just need to sleep.

So funny story about Tommy Rushing, I actually lived right next door to him for a semester, the kid is insane. It's pretty well known among the people i hang out with that he is on on EPO, or was at one point at least. Also all those expensive bikes he has and his Hummer (if he hasn't already gotten something else) all came from some not so legal activity.

Edit: I Just saw your post in the other thread. Yeah Bubba is still around, he has the intelligence of a smart monkey IMHO. We have had our differences to say the least. Listening to him give "inspirational" speeches has made for quite a few jokes afterwards, yet somehow he is the Beijing Olympic Track Coach, go figure.

I don't know Lance Hooten, I really don't know many of the other weight room guys besides Trey Zapata who we do all of our stuff with. We are kind of resigned to DL8 and don't go into the main wight room that much.

I think that Lance was probably the best S&C coach on campus when I was working for Todd. And that's high praise, coming from someone who worked for Todd, who is probably the best in college basketball. He should have been hired for football, instead of that waste-of-space Mad Dog. I think he's just doing his own thing now, and probably working with pro athletes.

I'm never surprised when I hear about someone using EPO. There are even mediocre amateurs who do it. It's hardly exclusive to guys as good as Tommy. The chemists are quickly catching up to the athletes though, so perhaps this will come to an end soon. At least in its current form.
