Hello,
I am living in Chicago now and plan to apply only to the Chicago schools. However I am not sure whether or not I qualify as a resident...either now or when I submit AMCAS.
Do schools consider that you must be a resident by the time you submit AMCAS?
I'm confused about this.
Here's what I've done to be a resident. Is this enough?
-permanent address in Chicago
-name on lease/pay rent in Chicago
-pay all taxes to IL
-drivers licence/license plates IL
-will marry IL resident in Sept.
But...I've only been here since May and it's been for school (I don't work). Does this fact throw a wrench in things?
I want to apply to UIC as my first choice.
Thanks,
Tofurkey
