I hear people in this forum that get partial/full tuition at the school. What does it take? Insane gpa+MCAT? Unique E.Cs? Multiple pubs?

There is no single item or a checklist that will guarantee you a merit scholarship, and it is usually a combination of several factors. The bridge year helps a lot in enriching your experiences and perspectives, besides helping out with merit scholarships.

Too bad the process doesn't run on logic. This isn't undergrad admissions. 😉

You are better served determining your costs of attendance and making decisions on the debt numbers you should prepare to bear.
