What does it take to get back to Cali ...

Currently a hemepath fellow and an IMG from a good residency/fellowship but not a big name. It seems all the Cali jobs care about name recognition of residency/fellowship - Stanford, Harvard etc... Anyone know if its possible to get back to Cali and if the job horror stories are true - 50% pay cut, screwed on partnerships, high turnaround. Appreciate any thoughts/experience.

Experience??? Been trying to get back to west coast from the east coast for 15 effing years....dermpath baorded...bernie ackerman fellowship...dont know what the prblem is other than I am a DO not an MD...
Am always getting response that say..oh you were out second choice....and am getting awful tired of it...
reality is there are way more opening east of the mississippi than west of it
