I know that its obviously your GPA for pre-req classes-I'm confused because I'm in a 4+3 BS/DPT program and we have to maintain a science GPA but some professors call it our "pre-req GPA". I'm looking to apply to some other programs for PT school. Does the pre-req GPA mean all of the classes (bio, chem A&P, physics as well as non-science classes like psych, math, and English) that are listed on the program's website as pre-requisites?

Pre-Requisite GPA include all of the pre-requisites that the program requires apart from the Bachelor's degree. At least that's how I would take it. It is confusing when professor might switch between pre-req and science GPA ! :O

I have two other questions related to how schools use courses to calculate GPAs. My program has us take 2 semesters of general chem and one semester of introductory orgo. One of the schools that I am interested in requires 2 semesters of general chem but makes no mention of orgo. I did better in orgo than I did in both of my gen chem classes. Do you think they would count that in my GPA even though they don't list it as a pre-req (some schools list the different classes that are acceptable for each pre-req but this one does not)?

I'm minoring in psych so I've taken 1 intro course and another course beyond that (this is what the pre-req requirement is). I've taken 101, 102, human development, infant & child development, sport psych, and will be taking abnormal psych plus one other class. I got a B+ in 101 but in the rest of the psych classes I've taken I got A-'s. Which two classes would they use when calculating my GPA? Thanks!

You must list intro level classes as your "core prerequisites" when you fill out PTCAS. However you could call the individual schools you are applying to and ask them to make the substitution when they calculate their own version of your pre-req GPA. Each school may or may not oblige, depending on what their school policies are.
