I am interested in occupational, preventative, and PMR. I tried looking up information on DO residencies and salaries in this field, but didn't find much. If anyone can elaborate please let me know.

Also, do these fields accept just the comlex 1, or would I have to take the usmle also? I rather just take the comlex as I am not the best test taker, and do better when I am focusing on one task at hand. (even though the tests are similar)

Please let me know , thank you!

If you are pre-med why are you worrying about what may happen 4-6 years from now? Wow. If you don't want to take the USMLE, then don't apply to an MD residency

I am a medical student in rotations.

This is not field dependent. It is program dependent. Important distinction. Plenty of surgery programs will take COMLEX scores and plenty of family medicine programs will require USMLE scores.

The comlex is starting to become more widely accepted, but it's not widely accepted enough imo to justify not taking the usmle (at least step 1). ONLY take the usmle 1 if you are comfortable that you can do well, because you'll have to report that score no matter what.

The best way to determine this is to call programs you're interested in individually and determine whether or not you should sit for the exam.

I'm fairly sure that none of the fields you mention are difficult to obtain a residency in. I'd be surprised if COMLEX alone wasn't sufficient.
