I can't help but be anxious and impatient at the same time waiting for my acceptances. Luckily there are things that could help me keep my mind off of my obsessive paranoia from this application process.

I'm currently playing BF3, but as soon as Skyward Sword comes out, I'll be playing that. I want to pick up Skyrim when I get the chance too. There's just soo many good games out!! What games are you guys playing or waiting for?

That game is over 300 hours long man!! I don't know if I can commit right now haha probably during winter break. I loved morrowind and oblivion so I'll definitely get this one.

I never played BoF4 but, Breath of Fire 3 is a wonderful game too! 🙂
 
I'll be playing mostly Batman Arkham City and BF3.

(I only have a PC)

I'd also pick up Skyrim but that game is WAY too long. Seriously. If I buy that game I'm instantly giving away 300 hours of my life. Lol. I can't do it!
 
Where are all the non dorky games like Madden

I really wish i had time for video games... 🙁

I used to play quite a bit, but with work, commuting 4 hours a day (yeah, you read that right), 4 science classes, and volunteering, I just dont have time. Sadness all around lol
 
CoD MW3 and GTA IV! too bad GTA V won't be out anytime soon haha
 
the game of LIFE! haha who has time to play VG anymore? i havent played VGs seriously since I was like 16.
 
Well Im not waiting for an acceptance or anything but my bf recently got me hardcore into BF3 and some game he got Dead Island….luckily I dont have a PS3 so I can only play it when I go to see him some weekends. WHEW!
 
skyrim is at LEAST 300 hours, if not way more. its soooo worth it. even just walking around in the world is enjoyable

👍 haha I find this too funny. My friends and I always call computer games like Warcraft or Starcraft nerd video games, but it's not nerdy to play Madden or FIFA all day. That being said, I have played and enjoyed my fair share of nerd video games lol

Deus Ex was one of the best games I've played in years.

I plan on gaming for the rest of my life. Hell my dad owns a decent sized business and works all the time and he still plays haha.
 
i'll be playing a game called ski...its an outside game. i get enough computer time from school.

Yep, I did enjoy BoF3 quite a bit as well, I think it might be better than 4, though I'm still enjoying it just the same, I really wish they'd make more Breath of Fire titles.

Laugh, and some of my friends think I'm a wimpy gamer (people with Steam accounts with 100s of games, that type). I'm kind of scared to give up my gaming time should I get into dental school. 🙁

My friend, I did that commute as well, I hope you try really hard to find a way to stop commuting so long, especially when you go to dschool, it's just awful.

Down in The Lounge (other forum on SDN), I just had a friend tell me how much he hated it and how much he thinks I shouldn't play it... honestly, I'm really liking it too and finding it fairly challenging at times, reminds me of Metal Gear Solid mixed with Mass Effect.

You know, you should give that stuff up man, coke can really mess you up. 😛 I'll stick to the beach + ocean or hiking in warm weather, but to each their own!

Yeah, I will be living closer to school once d-school starts. Ideally I would have not more than a 10 min commute. My commute now is horrible. It makes this quarter exponentially harder. 🙁

+1 for hiking! I am an avid hiker and am totally looking forward to my winter break just so I can go snow hiking and take some pics! Plus once summer comes around, the mountains begin calling my name! I can imagine there would be some pretty amazing hikes over in Hawaii! 👍
 
Gran turismo, skyrim and cycling are my escapes. Honestly, an hour on the trainer clears the head and keeps me sane lol.
 
FINALLY found some free time to FINALLY beat Twilight Princess. I had to prepare for Skyward Sword!

Dude you don't have to commit much to play some games. MW3 and BF3 are some of those games you can pick up anytime and drop them at any point.

Lies! Lol. The fact that online shooters are so easy and fun to get in at any moment is what makes them so hard to stay away from. I literally had to uninstall BF2:BC from my computer so I wouldn't be tempted to play during the semester +pissed+

I finally caved and just bought Skyrim 😀 everyone I've talked to absolutely raves about it so I'm pretty excited to fire this thing up! I actually didn't invest much time into Oblivion until a few months ago, maybe I'm just on an Elder Scrolls binge..
 
MW3 on 360!!! Is it just me or does everyone think that the sub machine guns in this game are badass😎?

👍 Seriously, there is SO much to do in the game - worth the price.

Yea unless your apartment buildings router blocks the ports for steam. Obviously this issue calls for an EMERGENCY service ticket lol.
 
EVE Online. Great game to pass the time. It's like WoW but more sophisticated and set in space.

Yeah, the girl who miraculously turns invisible then appears next to you and shoots you in the face. It's a bit disconcerting not knowing where she is. I think the way to beat her is to have her chase you until she nears one of those large transformers, which you then shoot and it explodes and stops her in her tracks. I've always managed to die before I can get her enough though. I'm not terribly good at the game lol.

She was really tough. If you have any EMT grenades those are really good for her. All the bosses are crazy hard in that game. I think she was the hardest though. Just keep trucking, the ending is awesome.
 
Anyone want to play STARCRAFT 2 on November 30th around 9-10pm Central??? lol. I was thinking it would make those last few hours seem faster.

I would if I had that game 🙁 I'm missing out!!! I would have gotten it if I had a laptop!! I'll be getting a new one once I get an accaptance :xf: Just don't know if I should get a mac or pc.

Haha. I bought my MAC JUST for Starcraft 2...... lol SC2 was too laggy on my Sony Vaoi.
I'd definitely go for the Mac! Once you go Mac, you don't go back. 🙂

It's either gonna come down to a mac or a sony vaio. I like the two, but some of the schools that I've applied to either only wants us using mac or pc, so I have to wait and see where I get accepted first. If I get a mac, I will probably get the air. That laptop makes me drool
