What happens after verification?

I submitted 6/30 and FINALLY got verified 9/24. What happens next? Do med schools instantly get notification that I am "official" and proceed smoothly from there? Does this info get transmitted via e-mail or computer file or do they FedEx or mail another version of my paper app? Does it take weeks for schools to find out I'm verified? Does anyone know what the procedure is after the glorious verification? I am thinking of calling those fools again but maybe someone here knows the answer.Thanks.

After verification very little changes. The problems aren't just at AMCAS; many of the schools' software to receive verified electronic apps is screwy, too. My app was verified in august, but still some schools aren't receiving my verified app electronically. You should call the schools and ask whether or not they're receiving electronic apps, or if they are, how many quickly they're receiving them. That's another problem: even if schools are set up to receive, the apps just trickle in. Basically the whole thing's a gigantic chaotic ball of monkey poop. Good luck, though.
