I am going to drop a class in a community college (which is not my primary college) and I will receive a "W". This is because I recently just got a Full-Time job and can't handle the workload, while I'm going to be taking 2 other classes when my Primary school starts in late September. Since this is the only class I'm taking in community college, after I drop it... would I still need to send them a transcript? Will this affect me negatively?

You have to report all grades, which means you will have to report your W from the community college. But I dont think it will affect you negatively, because you have a valid reason to drop the class. I dont think one W will make or break your application so you should be fine, just make sure you tell them why the class was dropped

If I don't report it, will they know? And I had a few W's in the past, I just don't think it's good to explain all of them.

I'm not sure if they'll find out if you lied, but all schools make it clear that they want you to report the classes you've taken directly to PharmCAS. I wouldn't recommend lying because if a school finds out that you lied I HIGHLY doubt they will accept you into a pharmacy program. When you go in for the interview, if it is an open file interview, the interviewers will ask you about your Ws, so be prepared to answer questions about that

How will they find out? Is there an online website that tells you all the schools I attended? Why would they need us to send in all transcripts if they could just search it themselves? I screwed up in the past and didn't know that W's would affect me negatively back then... and now I ruined all my chances of getting in.

What you are wanting to do is one of those things that you might get away with at first, but it could compromise your future indefinitely.

Imagine that you do not report all of your transcripts, and you get accepted to pharmacy school. That's great - but does that mean that your concealment of personal information will never bite you in the butt again in the future? Absolutely not.. You might get in 3 years of school, then all of a sudden the information comes out that you lied on your application.. Is this enough to get you kicked out of a program? Probably...

Report your academic history honestly and completely. Although this might not be ideal to you, it also shows character if you have made a complete turn around for the better.

For instance, I have 6 F's/W's that were all reported back in 2000-2001 when I was a teenager. I was away from school for 8 years before I returned full time. When I returned full time, I completed all of my pre-requisite classes with a 3.9 GPA. Although the poor marks are not ideal, I am confident that this will show my dynamic character and my ability to advance in life.

Don't even think about lying on your application. Let your current and past history speak for itself. If you have made a positive turn around then your history is a strength. If you have not made much progress, then your history shows weakness.

Lying on your application can have lasting consequences that can have a much more negative effect on your life than a few poor marks.

Good luck

One W is nothing. And PharmCAS does check your transcripts as I recall. Anyway it is a stupid thing to compromise your integrity over.

I had various W's back in my primary school and some I had reasons for it... should I explain my reasonings in the special circumstances section?

Just report them. A few Ws never hurt anybody. A few Fs is a different matter, however...

I believe the reason they are even concerned about Ws is because some students drop hard courses they might get a substandard grade in, then retake for the A. They want to make sure everyone is on a level playing field. It would be clear on your transcript if this became a habit for you, but one W (or a few scattered Ws) is not going to hurt you.

FWIW, I also have a handful of Ws on my transcript.

Check your official transcript from the community college since this is the transcript PharmCAS will be looking at. My CC reported Ws on the official transcripts, but my university didn't. If its on your official transcripts put it in your PharmCAS. I ended up only reporting my Ws from CC.

You should use your official transcripts to enter your courses into PharmCAS as well.
