Hi all, here is my stituation. I'm applying to 5 schools, I have satisfied all the prereqs for 4 schools but missing 1 class for 1 school. I really don't want to take that 1 class unless I have to. So I will only take it if I only get into that 1 school. Is it okay to not put any planned courses on pharmcas, but put that 1 class in the supplemental application for that 1 school?😕😕😕

i'd put it on Pharmcas. But your best bet, 3 words: CALL THE SCHOOL.

Good luck. Schools have a maximum number of prereqs that you can have missing before you apply and also a deadline for when you should have these finished.

What is usually the maximum amount missing. I am planning on taking 3 courses this fall semester and 3 courses for spring to fulfill all prereqs.
I'm applying for pharmacy school for 2013 admission.

from my knowledge, the usual max amount is you can only take up to 3 more prereqs during the SUMMER before the fall of your matriculation. In your case, you can only have a minimum of 3 more prereqs left to take AFTER your spring 2013 semester.

Basically saying, you can only have up to 3 pre reqs left after your spring semester! but that is only for me! CALL your schools and ask.👍

I'd put it on pharmcas. Once u get accepted and it's not the school that requires that prereq just email them and let them know your plans have changed. Planned courses listed on pharmcas are not binding mean they're just planned so u can change ur mind and not take them and it's still okay.

I am in the same situation, but this is what I am thinking...since we can update all the coursework when the academic update window opens, I would assume you can delete that planned coursework if you change your mind, but I don't know if phamcas will resend updated application to schools. I am going to ask pharmcas about it.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Please update me on pharmcas's answer.🙂

I just emailed them, will let you know what they say

Got email from pharmcas:
"...When entering in any planned coursework, you need to do your best to
report it under the school you will be taking that course at in the fall. If
your academic plans change, you will need to contact PharmCAS during the
academic update session.

Remember that you will need to send all the required transcripts for the
academic update to PharmCAS (http://www.pharmcas.org/applicants/transcripts.htm).
PharmCAS can not process any updates until all transcripts are received. Please
be aware that it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process the academic update information.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure that all of your fall
grades are on the transcripts received by PharmCAS. PharmCAS is not responsible
for items that are lost in the mail or not received.

Once your academic aupdates have been processed, PharmCAS will send the updated
application to the pharmacy designation to which you are applying."
