Read about that story of that indian doctor who went on a rampage to a uber driver and got kicked out of her residency, 4th year neurosurgeon resident. Did she pretty much ruin her career in medicine? I would imagine it would be really difficult to get admittance to a residency again. That was on national news and got millions of views. What happens now? Just curious couldn't really find any information on this subject.

Not a death sentence to her medical career. It will be very difficult but not impossible for her to get into another residency but not necessarily in the same specialty. She's probably looking at the worst FM or IM programs at the worst locations. Then, when she applies for medical licenses and hospital credentials, she has to explain each time what happened. It's a pain for sure.

sounds pretty bad, not something you want to have when you have 300k of loans on your back.

how do you know lol. she seems like a spoiled brat, even the video of her apologizing seems rehearsed and fake

knowing where she went to school and the cost over 4 years..she has loans...

and she's not any different than all the other millennials in med school and residency...

Not the same loans at Carib school. Lots of private loans that require cosigner

surprised she would still even get a residency. Usually you would have to royally mess up to get kicked out of residency. Should I be a pt or pa?

actually no...same Stafford and Grad Plus loans at least at the bigger Caribbean schools (sgu, ross. auc ), the only difference is that the amount available for the sub and unsubs is smaller, but the difference can be made up with the grad plus.

She can get a license now and work as a GP. She wouldn't be board certifiable, having not completed an FM residency, but there is nothing to stop her from putting out her own shingle and doing quite a bit of medicine on a cash-only basis. She may be able to work in urgent care places, or maybe go someplace rural.

She could also sign on as the medical director for a few laser hair removal or other medi-spa clinic that mostly doesn't need a doctor actually do to anything but sign off on "care" provided mostly by technicians.

She can teach, or write. Monica Lewinsky has managed to have a career and a life despite being thoroughly humiliated by her youthful indiscretions. I imagine that this doc will find some career options despite having been internet famous for being a spoiled drunk princess that one time.

But no, she is probably not going to find her way into another neurosurgery* residency spot.

Edit: Oops! Neurology, not neurosurgery. My bad.

She will most likely find a way back into her old residency and finish her last neurology year.

Really? What on earth gives you that impression? I am seriously intrigued if you know something that I don't about graduate medical education and how likely one is to be able to come back from something like this.

I've known people fired or who were permitted to resign or just didn't have contracts renewed over much less who found themselves out in the cold. My list of things she could do comes from actual knowledge of what people have done in that situation. It wasn't just a casual surmise.

FTFY. Seriously - crack ****** are only segment of society I would expect to steal a strangers car keys, jump in, throw their phone/money out, try to punch them, knee him in the balls and then try to kick cops attempting to handcuff her.

Edit: To clarify, I believe in second (sometimes third) chances for everyone short of murderers and child molesters, but let's not downplay it. She's INCREDIBLY lucky she doesn't have a criminal record.

she *is* lucky he didn't press charges.... she mentioned in her apology she paid the guy off is why
the cops, I dunno the "--but my medical license!" and sheer tiny obnoxiousness must have touched their hearts like it did mine

not sure why you are able to change my quote, but you are entitled to your OPINION...however please do not represent it as MY opinion...the entitled behavior exhibited in the video is just an extreme example of the attitude exhibited by many of that generation.

Relax. He didn't change it to represent your opinion.

Just saying.... not even president's can stand up to the scrutiny this girl is getting. It is unfortunate that with only 6 months left in her training she got canned. However deserving of that judgment she was I can't really say but if they were going to fire her they should have done it right away... Why put her on admin leave for 3 months and then do it?

whether or not there was lengthy deliberation on their part or not for reals, it needed to appear that there was

also, she definitely lawyered up and as soon as that happens everything slows down substantially as the attorneys badminton little scrunched up balls of paper back and forth in and out of each other's "court"

Hmm never mind pics. You gotta look at the "slope" of them... if the way they hang there's a little concavity to them, usually real
only fake boobs look convex when there's no bra

I wish I could draw in paint and easily post here

since the topic of boobs came up it's taking everything in me not to start posting pics of Christina Hendricks etc... to the lounge!!

And when in doubt, take the second derivative to determine concavity. Heck, use your ears - #5:

She was sub a to start.
The point of that was to establish that she has money. Family money.
and exactly how do you know that?

because people who get fake boobs have family money?
because people who have doctors for fathers have family money?
because you know her and really are the owner of that website?

You think the owner of that website is an attending doc?
And yes, her dad has money. You can look him up on the web. She doesn't live at home, but in a fancy apartment.
On the recent news clip, her sister lawyer and her said the dad is a truck driver. Not sure why they lied.

Your assumptions are much more of a reach than mine are.

I know that from the numerous pics she posted of herself on soctal media.
