When an applicant sends in additional materials such as updated transcripts, letters of interest, thank you notes, etc, what happens to these documents after they are opened? Do they get put together with your primary AMCAS application and kept together for future usage?

Usually they go in your file. In my case, I know they did, as I sent additional LORs and one of my interviewers asked about one of them.
