Yeah so I don't like smell stinky teeth, if I put that on does that reduce my chance of getting to dental school?I'mFillingFine said:What about it...? 😉 People are more willing to help if you say what you've tried out or ask specific questions about it....everyone's on the same boat with all these rediculous secondary app and AADSAS questions.
What DOES interest you the least in dentistry?

jorUW said:I agree. I think saying something about how Dentists generally have a bad reputation would be a good thing to put down. You can than spin it and say that you want to be example of how people are misinformed. Try spinning the negative, similar to how a lot of people say their biggest weakness is that they are a perfectionist.
jorUW said:Oh sorry, what I mean is.... people generally dont like going to the dentist. A lot of people associate pain with the dentist 😱 . You also have that whole rumor about it having the highest suicide (from what I hear, b/c people dislike you)....etc... I'm not trying to say that dentists aren't respected, rather people just dislike our kind, at least what I hope will be my kind 😉 Do others disagree? I love talking dentistry
Not to mention a lot cheaper.devin_62 said:This may be off the subject just a tad, but this is something I've noticed more and more. It seems like dentists are advertising more than ever now to get their name out. I'm not saying that marketing your practice is a bad thing, but it seems like there are more and more "sleeze-like" advertisements out there. Has anyone else noticed this? This is something I cringe at. I've had two dental professionals tell me that the best advertisement for dentistry is approval and word-of-mouth by your patients. I think this is far greater than any television ad or billboard.
I think this is a good answer. I bet "business & staff management issues" would rank pretty high if you did a poll of established dentists asking them what they struggled with most, or hadn't anticipated being such a big problem.jorUW said:I think the hardest thing about dentistry is going to be running a private practice. How many people on here have taken a significant amount of business classes?

Dr.RedundancyDr said:Hey Shengx12, is this a U-Penn secondary question from the 2007 cycle? Did you already receive a secondary from them of is this a question you heard they have on it?
HermeytheElf said:I believe the Penn secondary is available to be printed now and sent in. AADSAS has information on secondaries for every school, so check their list for more info.
