Many Schools require them as prerequisites. What counts as a humanities course?

Are History courses Humanities courses?

Forgive me, I'm used to the British education system.

Yes Art History would count. Humanities consists of things like english, history, philosophy, religion, art, dance, theatre, and music. Basically anything that isn't natural or social science.

Your snark aside, I figured I'd ask the question in the context of prerequisites for medical school.
Maybe some of you had heard of schools differing in what constitutes a humanities class. If not, great.
