what is bioscience and will it count in my bcp?

in another thread, i mentioned how the class i really want to take for summer session 2 is full. there is another class that works with my times, intro to bioscience. it's in the bio department, so will it count in my bcp? i also don't actually know what bioscience is so.. does anyone know? lol

actually, this is the description i found:
Moving beyond the basic concepts of general biology, this class explores how biology is used in both academic and commercial settings within the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceutical and clinical sciences. Topics will include: applications of biotechnology in microbes, plants, and animals, the human genome project and its relation to medical biotechnology, DNA forensics, and pharmaceutical drug discovery, delivery, and FDA approval. The debate surrounding subjects such as cloning, stem cells, and genetically modified foods will also be discussed.

It will go into your BCP if the course number starts with BIO. For example BIOL 180 goes into BCP. But I took a class called biopsychology and since it was PSYCH 202 it went into non-science. All of this is explained on the ADEA website.

it is in the bio department, so that's good news. i've just never heard of this class before
