Okay, So I'm using DAT destroyer, DAT math destroyer, AP Cliff's Biology, and Crack DAT PAT to study for the DAT. But what is a good study guide for the reading comprehension section? Advice please? 🙂

It really depends how good you are in english. I did not practice at all and I got a 23. My strategy was to note key terms, techniques, dates and their respective paragraph on the scratch paper. I also noted the writer's tone and what they were trying to convey. Were they trying to persuade you? inform you? Pessimistic? Optimistic? Etc...

The most similar material that I found to the real DAT was topscore... datqvault was somewhat similar but the passages had a lot more paragraphs on datqvault which made it hard for me to use my favorite method which was: read the first question, start reading passages and make one or two word summaries of each paragraph. so it could be something like "symptoms" or "bacteria" then if I find the answer I answer the question and read the next question then continue to read the rest of the passage. for tone questions I found that it is possible to determine the tone of the passages by the last two paragraphs and if you need the tone of a certain paragraphs, well, you just need to read it.

I describe some other methods in my breakdown (signature)

awesome scores Ttpharm, but if you don't mind me asking, why is your name pharm but you've taken the DAT? How did you do so well in your General Chem section? What were your study methods for that section?

What is datqvault ? I plan on purchasing topscore in the near future once I'm done studying for BIO, Gen Chem, Orgo and Math. Are you guys in Dental school now?

Consider using ExamKrackers Verbal Reasoning for the MCAT. I mostly used MCAT passages to prepare for the DAT RC section because they are much harder, and managed to get a 24 on the section. In the Kaplan course they teach you to look for the purpose and supporting evidence, and that slow reading does NOT mean efficient reading! Good luck!
