what is infosource?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It isn't 100% useless--it depends on what schools you applied to.

Also, the information is updated by the schools, so if it IS useless for you, then you should blame the schools.

The idea in and of itself is an excellent one. This is the FIRST year that it has gone nationwide, and there are aboviously lots of kinks to work out: schools not updating, only a handful of schools participating, etc.

In a couple of years InfoSource will really rock.

Several of us from my undergrad got to beta-test InfoSource and were able to go through AADSAS for free as a result--it seemed like a good idea then, but it also seems like they haven't made many changes to InfoSource since that initial testing phase.

I give it a 30% useful.
I found it useful only when I want to know how long does it take AADSAS to send my application. Once they processed my application, they actually put the correct schools there, which is good.

Then, I also checked that they mistook my college, so one of my transcript is missing. Good thing with infosource to allow me to spot it rightaway.

Then, the school-infosource communication is quite bad. I guess it is not infosource's fault. I hope they can do a better job. Most of the news come from the school anyway, which is faster than sch to infosource to us. And unfortunately, some sch dont even use infosource.

How is it not infosource's fault? Part of the money we paid to AADSAS maintains this so called database which, for a "professional" service, is a complete waste. AADSAS needs to make a quick decision...convince the schools to participate or spend their money more wise.

Does AADSAS have a feedback system?
Should we write to them about how bad infosource is?
ANd how can they improve?
