Hey guys,

What is the maximum number of recommendation letter to get?
Some schools want 3 recommendation letters from science and 1 from dentist while the other schools want 2 recommendation letters from science, 1 from non science, and 1 from dentist.


To fulfill the requirement, (3 from science, 1 from non-science, 1 from dentist) 5 recommendation letters are needed. However, AADSAS limit # of recommendation letter to 4. is it bad if i send just 2 letter from science, 1 dental adviser, 1 dentist if they want 3 science letter and 1 dentist?
I do not know what i have to do for this.
Can I choose # of recommendation letter when i apply to each school from AADSAS application?

And is it ok to get recommendation letter from T.A for one science recommendation?
or is it not helpful ?
Since i go to public school, it is hard to interact with professors.
I want to get 2 science (1from ta, the other from professor (Both bio->major)), 1 non science (Japanese professor (it is already in my file) ), 1 pre dental adviser, 1 dentist. (total 5)

Please give me advice.

Thank you for this worthless post. I wasted 4 minutes reading through all of those posts and not once did they answer the OPs question. one came close, but only stated that he sent 7, 4 to all school, and 1 different one to 3 different schools. Now...can anyone answer the OPs post?

i used 2 science, 1 research science, 1 dentist for aadsas. I also had 1 non-science for creighton and nova. I called them up and they told me to send it to them directly. So I used my letter service to do that.

Getting a letter from a TA would be a bad idea. They are not much different than you, only graduate students. You need to get your LORs from your pre-req professors or other science professors.

Different schools have different preference. Some schools want their letters from a senior faculty member, some want from your most recent science professors, or some just want from your pre-req professors.

I suggest doing a search on their websites. You should send your primary, strong letters through AADSAS and the others directly to schools since different schools have different LOR preference.

LOR is actually very important when your stats are on the competitive side. So I would suggest you pick the right professors. Hopefully you can find some nice professors, and don't hesitate to tell them what you want on your letter.

So did u guys submitt a committe leeter or not. aadsas says you can only submitt 1 committe letter and 1 lor or you can submitt 4 lor. WHICH IS BETTER???????

I was thinking of doing the same. Just submit whatever number of LORs AADSAS allows, and then if you're using a service like Interfolio, you can submit the rest directly to the schools. Anyone else doing this?
