If I don’t get into school this cycle I am going to move back to Ohio and take 1-2 years off to improve my application. I have come too far to give up on this dream and I willing to take the time to try again the right way. My question is, what is the best way to improve the deficiencies in my application? Do I do a DIY post-bac and retake 30+credits of science classes to boost my undergrad gpa? Or do I do an SMP? Do I retake the MCAT? Do i get more clinical work experience?

I lean to SMps given at med schools with some sort of linkage. Higher risk, but higher reward, IF you ace the program.

If you're interested in MD, you need to ace the MCAT as well. Shoot for 510 for the OH state schools.
