What is the final number when 100 is increased by factor of 2?

What is the final number when 100 is increased by factor of 2? Is it 100 + 100^2 = 10 100? Thanks !

"increased by a factor of 2" is poor wording. "Multiplied by a factor of 2" would be 2*100 = 200, which is probably what they meant.
