What is the GPA cut of for sending an Update Letter?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This past semester my grades were A, A, A-, A-, and B+. Could sending an update with these in it hurt me? Should I just limit it to a LOI?
I think those are great grades, you should be very proud. Personally, I would just give a brief once-over the course titles such as, "The past semester was invigorating. Among my courses included XYZ, XYZ, XYZ, and XYZ. My grade point average for the semester came to X.YZ." as part of your LOI.

Thanks for the advice, but my for me these grades brought my GPA down a little (like 0.01, i know not a lot) and busted my upward trend (had 4.0s the last 2 semesters after 3.6s freshman year and 3.8-3.9 sophomore year).

Your upward trend doesn't have to be perfectly linear. Your GPA is so high an upward trend isn't really necessary anyway. Where are you planning on sending an update letter that would scoff at a 3.8?

Sure, why not? It shows you're still be pro-active in the application process. Those are fine grades, and you're continuing to show that your other good grades aren't a fluke.
