Hey i have some question about US Health care system. I read on this forum that some states allow Pods to give general anesthesia while others not.

So does that mean, the MD surgeons can give anesthesia during their surgery.

And what exactly is the job of Anesthisiologist , when surgeons can give anesthesia.

Iam kind of confused.

It allows pods to give conscious sedation in office or maybe an amnestic (diazepam) w/ a local. Either one is a lower level of anesthesia and not general as you might think. Even with these things being allowed few docs keep the CE need to do the procedure b/c it is so much easier to have a anesthesiologist on board.
