with your stats i'm surprised you didn't get in. which schools did you apply to? did you interview anywhere?

What was you reading comprehension score? and did someone proof read your personal statement letter?

My RC score is 15....damn.. is that critical problem????

Unfortunately, yes it is. The reason why I asked was because your posts have grammatically incorrect sentences. Having a well written personal statement letter and high marks in literature and humanities courses in college are your only defense against low scores in RC at this point, without retaking the DAT.

I disagree, a retake is definitely in order. Dental school can be very reading intensive the first two years, hence a 15 is a huge deterrent for most schools regardless of GPA. I would read up on some science journals for practice. Goes without saying but get your hands on as many resources for RC as you can to practice - Crack DAT Reading, Topscore, and Achiever. Best of luck and hope you do well should you decide to retake. Everything else in your app seems solid, RC is the only thing holding you back!

i would also apply in june too!!!! and not turn it in in august. 😎

did you apply to Midwestern? we look at DAT scores as a cumulative score (add all of the sections together) so your 15 wouldn't really matter.

Yes, you need to retake the DAT. Improve your reading score to 17 or higher. Then, you should be set for the schools you mentioned above.

i will apply the first day in june, and planning to retake DAT in late of july...
is that hurt me badly?

You said you applied in late August last year, but when was your application complete?

You should be fine this cycle if you apply in June and take the DAT by July.
