I'd like to think we make up the majority of the above-average applicants for Med School... and I understand most of us here will not be researchers down the road, but hey who knows right? What is the probability that one of us will be a winner for the Noble Prize in Medicine 20-60 years down the road?

It'll probably be someone with a 25 MCAT and a 3.0 GPA who barely got into medical school. Being above average means very little. The valedictorian of my high school class nearly failed out of college her first year.

They only give out Nobel prizes to those with over a 40 on the MCAT, so all you 39ers should probably consider retaking.

Seeing as most of us are going to practicing physicians and not making any scientific breakthroughs, I'd say the odds are pretty slim. Good luck MD/PhDs.

Well, if any of you do win a Nobel Prize decades from now, make sure you come back to SDN, dig this thread up, and holler.

I figured I mightest well point out this error, irregardless of the fact that you could probably care less.
a win post, but the bolded in particular always kills me

oh and the nobel prize is crap.

Well, the money would be nice though, unless you couldn't care less. :meanie:

If I ever win the noble prize, I will donate my one million dollar reward to SDN-I promise...

100%. However, my statistics are only accurate 40% of the time.

*gasp* The typo in the title! It's been corrected!

The Nobel Prize is awarded only to people with wild hair and colorful personalities, not to Marine snipers.

😛

worst discussion topic in internet history.

Depends on your nationality, sex and luck.

i plan on curing AIDS, all major forms of cancer, obesity, childhood obesity, ALS, and Diabetes types I and II. Best of luck to the rest of you.

Figured I'd wait a couple of minutes before posting that I was kidding.
