Hi everyone,
I am an international student who will attend a DDS program this coming fall, but I am not foreignly trained.
I am wondering how F-1 dental school graduates go on their ways to secure a job position and eventually get sponsored for permenent residency.
Here are my questions, and I would really appreciate if you could answer them:
1. What is the protocol for a DDS student to acquire dental license, and what is the general timeline?
2. What states do NOT allow international DDS students to acquire license?
3. If some states require DDS graduates to do residency for some amount of time before allowed to work, how will it affect the F-1 status?
4. How does a DDS graduate acquire a job and get sponsored for a permanent residency?
5. (for Korean males only) How can a Korean guy avoid his military duty because he does not want to risk 2 years gap in the middle of hardcore dental school studying?
