What job opportunities are available to "Physician Executives" or MD/MBA?
What is a typical work day like in those positions?
I'm a career changer applying to medical school. I have an undergrad degree in accounting and management information systems. I worked as an auditor for a big public accounting firm and am a CPA. I'm interested in combining this experience with medicine. But, after talking with a professor, I was informed that those with MD/MHA, MD/MBA, etc, sit behind a desk all day. He gave me the impression that either you're a clinician or an executive. There is no in between. Is this true?
