Their help line is busy, their internet system is screwing up?!?!

That's probably why their help line busy. Sounds like the problems are being reported. Give it some time and try calling again if it's still down.

I've been trying since 11 AM yesterday....

I'm just wondering if there was some fantastic problem thats occurring...like their servers blew up, their offices were raided, etc...

Supposedly for a company that handles such sensitive documents, they really are dropping the ball...

Nobody's perfect. The more technologically advanced the company, the more spectacular the disasters. It would be unreasonable and frankly very silly to assume that a company entirely dependent on computers would have zero downtime and zero glitches.

Actually, now no one is answering their help line. And the person handling their business at my school is out of town. *sigh* To any watching Adcoms, "This is not my fault!"

What's the problem you guys are having?

The search function won't work, and even if you enter the address manually you can't send any letters. Needless to say, this is a little frustraing since I've got two schools that I need to get letters to in the near future.

Hey all,

Just wanted to respond on here quickly, so that everyone knows what is going on.

First, our servers have not crashed and our offices have not been raided. However, in the wake of our move to a new office last week, we are still having some problems with our phone system. Verizon has been out to the office repeatedly, but still has not resolved the problem. For a while, Interfolio was not receiving incoming calls, explaining why you would have encountered a busy signal.

As of now, we have one incoming line operating normally. If that line is being used, you will, unfortunately, encounter a busy signal again.

If you have questions about your account, and the line is coming up busy, please e-mail the customer service team at [email protected], or if your concern is more immediate, please use my address at [email protected].

We are really sorry for this inconvenience and want to get this resolved as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we can only work on resolving the phone issue at the speed of Verizon. Hopefully they'll be back up soon, because I've been using my cell phone to make calls today...

Fiddlergirl, feel free to e-mail me directly regarding your issue with the search function. It might be as simple as a minor browser issue. Again my e-mail is [email protected]. Any questions your school might have can also go to me, while Frank is out of town (he will be back on Monday).

Thanks a lot guys! Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Jack
Interfolio

I've had repeated problems with interfolio, two of my letter writers were unsuccesful in uploading their letters and had to send or fax them in to a significant delay. I sometimes don't get confirmation emails reporting successful upload. A fine time to change the website, offices, and communication systems! I just pray that the premium I am paying for this service is at least getting my letters out in order.

Wow. I'm amazed that someone from Interfolio actually responded. In any case, I got it to work using a friends copy of Internet Explorer. I hadn't had any trouble using Mozilla Firefox in the past, but it doesn't seem to be working now.

The issue I was previously having with interfolio actually was not interfolio's fault, it was the fault of my university for not warning us about some work they were going to be doing with interfolio for students letters of recommendations...I didn't even know they worked with interfolio...but in any case, that might be worth checking on for people who are having problems...
