How do you like that? How far are you in your major? I've taken a couple Classics classes and I've got to say I'll probably be reading that stuff (or the English translations of that stuff) for the rest of my life 😛

Post-bacc pre-med, but my undergraduate major was in Economics.
Started declared as Biology, but probably switching to Chemistry soon.
No idea haha 🙂 I haven't declared yet.
Psych but the option at my school was created for pre-meds
That is awesome. I wish my school had a psych for premed major.

I'm finishing up my senior honors thesis right now, my last requirement for graduation. I really loved the major, we have such a small senior class (5 people will be graduating with me) and the department is really responsive to our input. My favorite classes include "Greek Mythology" and "Sports in the Ancient World". I highly recommend the major for any one, premed or not.

piano performance (Bachelor in Music)
i doubled in physiology & developmental biology and french. i highly believe in the philosophy of majoring in what you like, not necessarily what "looks best"!
👍i agree, i am an English Major.
I would argue majoring in something other than the sciences makes you a more attractive applicant (that is if you dominate in pre-med reqs). It shows you can diversify your talents and that you are a multi-faceted individual.

I definitely agree with this. It makes you stand out among numerous science majors with equivalent GPA.
Forensic Biology w/ a minor in chemistry and biology.

Nursing
Is it normal? or accepted or okay to major in something other than the traditional Bio or Chem, science?
I just thought, if you have to keep a good GPA and sometimes I get bored with the sciences. that, i'd major in something I enjoyed aside from the sciences to give myself a break from it all time
Though, sometimes I second guess myself and say that it may hurt me in the long run, and when could I ever use International Relations (my current major) after I graduate if I plan to go to Med-School and work in a field that is a part of medicine?

What I've heard is that they couldn't care less what your major is. Just get your pre-reqs and maybe some additional higher-level bio courses and you'll be fine.

If you are bored with your major, you should probably consider switching. Don't major in biology or chemistry because it is expected of premeds. The question you should ask yourself (and often asked by medical school interviewers) is "Why did you major in ________?" You should be passionate about your major and be able to answer that question with ease--and your grades will reflect earnest interest.
Major = Biomedical Science?
Medzealot I've decided that you are crazy bro....crazy hilarious!
I hope we've got a medzealot in our class when I start this Fall!!
Word around the campfire is that he is his avatar.

The question is:
How will the 'class medzealot' present his repertoire of images? Will he have a binder with printouts that he can hold up on demand when the professor says something -- or will he get technological and have a tablet PC beefed up with the internetz? Either way... meme's as far as the eye can see.

Are you going to engineer a robot to attend class with you or -- skip the middle man and project holograms out your own eyes?
I almost went with the latter, but I decided the former has a cooler "retro" feel.
i wanted the text for this one to be really little so i would read it in a tinyvoice.
I'll honor most reasonable requests -- especially when they require fewer than 45 seconds to complete.
I majored in Classics
Classics here as well.
