1) I would understand that becoming a Research Assistant or having publications would be quite worthwhile to update schools on, but what about other jobs like tutoring/lab tech/ or being a patient care technician? For example, is it worth updating schools if you land a tutoring job?

2) How about volunteering activity? Should I update schools I interviewed and those I didn't about volunteering plan?

3) Should I update the schools that I already interviewed at about it also? (Because in my gap year plan I said I wanna do research or get a positing in a service organization but man are those jobs hard to come by specially once they interview you and realize you wanna go to med school).

4) How important are gap year plans to ADCOMS ?

1. Take it from a tutor- it's not worth updating schools about a tutoring job.
2. No.
3. No.
4. Only worth mentioning if specifically asked.

The rule is the only worthwhile updates that may move the needle in your favor are changes in your GPA and publications/presentations.
