Hi There,
I am double major in the life sciences from the northeast. I have pretty non-competitive scores, but have shown major improvement in my last two years of undergrad:
cGPA: 3.59 sGPA: 3.3
MCAT: 508 (125, 128, 128, 127)
cGPAs
Jr Fall: 3.691
Jr Spring: 3.733
Sr Fall: 3.786
Sr Spring: 3.938
I have a degree with distinction in biology from completing a senior thesis (through which I've gotten tons of research hours). No current publications, but am expected to be on two papers (likely 3rd author) within the next year or so. I played on a competitive Division I NCAA team (won a National Championship and several Conference Championships). I was involved in a variety of leadership roles in college (ie captain of field hockey team), have 50+ patient contact volunteer, over 50 shadowing, and a ton of community service volunteer experience. Without exhausting the list of things I have been involved in, I have a lot of ECs. My main concern is, of course, my grades and MCAT. I will be doing research over the summer to continue my project I worked on during undergrad, and have the opportunity to work with a doctor from NYU on his research thereafter.

Above is a more realistic list. SDNers vastly overestimate the power of connections.
