Do you guys try to learn/memorize the content or just do practice questions?

It is important to learn the basic concepts before you can do practice questions. You might have to go back to your Biology text book. Campbells biology is a great book we often recommend for review.

Students also seem to like Feralis notes

Hope this helps, good luck in your studies and on your DAT

make notes don't take notes. draw diagrams and connect words together keeping in mind what their definitions mean. To build a puzzle you don't start in the middle. You usually want to get the border done because those pieces got something in common and there are less of them. There are lot less concepts than there are biology facts. By getting the border done to your puzzle and getting the concepts down, it will be easier to see how the details/facts fit into your puzzle. I like analogies 🙂

You should definitely try to conceptualize first. As said above, Campbells is a great way to start out learning the basics. If youre past there then cliffs is a decent review. Another thing that I did was google videos of things like the lac operon and other more complex biology subjects. After you feel pretty strong with the concepts, test them with DAT destroyer.
Good luck with your studies!

Repetition! I would study a topic, and then 3 weeks later, I didn't even remember that I studied it. Keep repeating stuff you learn/review at least once a week.

Sundays were my "review it all" days. Repetition kept my brain "in the game" 🙂

A mix of learning things through connecting them to your life and crying.

Lol but the connection part for real. Draw the cycles that are similar next to each other (C3 & CAM photosynthesis for example) and compare. Always MAKE CONNECTIONS. I remembered things so weirdly cause I thought of similar things to relate it with.
