Here are the practice tests I took. What should I take next?

Note that I have all AAMC old versions, all Kaplan FL old versions, all Kaplan topical, subject and section tests. Additionally, I have all the online free ones available still as well. My exam date is July 31st, so I don't want to use up too much.

Kaplan Free Diagnostic, offered at university --- before any content review
10PS/10VR/10BS

AAMC 3 --- after 2 weeks of content review (No chem/ochem, most phys/bio
10PS/9VR/10BS

EK 101 Test 1 --- After AAMC 3
9VR

Kaplan FL 1 --- after 3 weeks of content review (no chem/ochem review)
11PS/9VR/11BS --- most missed questions were in ochem or chem

I now know what to look for in VR passages and feel like I can get a 10. I think I should do EK test 2 for sure.

I am aiming for 35+. I think I can do it, considering I have 2+ months left. What do you all think?

More AAMCs would be a good idea. I don't know if that's what the online ones you mentioned are, but they're definitely worth the $35 if you don't have them for free. I didn't go crazy with them, I only took two beyond AAMC3. Otherwise I'd say the old AAMCs, just for practice, since the format's different and all that so your score probably isn't the best match.

As for timing, I don't know what to tell you. Sorry!

So you don't think it would be a waste to do more AAMCs even when I have so much time left, and have not even done ochem review?

Well you should finish your content review before you start taking the majority of practice tests. Otherwise how do you know what your weaknesses are? 😕 I agree w/above heavy analysis of AAMC's should be the priority, but it doesn't make sense to take the tests before you're done with review. If you don't feel you can adequately review chemistry before the test i'd consider pushing it back.

I guess it is mainly to see my progression, and for no other reason.

Maybe I shouldn't have taken the first two either then???

nah I don't think you have anything to worry about 🙂 Just repeating the general consensus around these parts, that most of your practice tests should come after content review. Good luck, sounds like you are doing great so far!

yeah, I'd wait and do most of your tests after o-chem review. It doesn't hurt to do a couple before finishing everything, I think I did one before doing my organic review. And definitely don't skimp on organic studying, because my test (may 22nd) and the most recent one were rather organic-heavy, based on the threads for each of them. I think I had 3 organic passages and some hard discretes. And unfortunately for me, I didn't study organic too much. Oops.
