From i just read, you guys are telling me after studying 10 years, im not gonna make mad money??? what...i thought doctors make alot....arg....so basically when i become a MD the HMO or something is going to take my money??? what the hell~!!! explain
Does this hold true for dentists too????

so if there is no money in Medicine in 10 years, why are people still going into medicine huh???? i dont get it

Don't always believe in everything you read!!

Ten years is still along way...lots of things can change. People go into medicine b/c they LOVE IT!!! If you go in it for only the money, you will be DEPRESSED. Everyone knows you can make more money elswhere(ie stocks, computers, etc..)

Note that compensation for physicians has always been on the top of the food chain since the dawn of time!! If you pick up a US magazine each year, being a physician is always considered a TOP occupation. Yes, compensation will or will not change for physicians here & there, BUT I have yet to met a poor doctor, so don't sweat it!!

Not all docs make millions, but a 6 figure salary isn't too bad to live with in this world!!!

Hey, popoman.. You're so funny.. hahaha..
I'm a also pre-med student who already graduated from college and just decided to go to med school and I'm working my a** off to boost my ulgy poor GPA.
I'm a Korean girl who loves party and drinking and I want to make lots of money when I'm young. I can make money right now with my BS degree. But what the heck? I really wanna be a doctor and help patients. In spite of all my crazy college years and my instinct for love of party..etc, I decided to gamble myself or challenge myself to go to med school no matter what I become doctor at 35.
Until then I probably live my life as a nerd.
But still, I want to be a doctor.. It's not because of money.. Think of yourself what you can do for our society and what you really enjoy your life every hour and every second at work which you'll spend most of time for the rest of your life.
Oh well... an nyoung...
