Here on SDN, lots of advice is offered by comparing the actions of SDN users as compared to the general applicant population. There seems to be a lot of disagreement about how representative our sample group is.

So my question to you fellow SDNers: what percentage of the applicant population is made up of people who either read (lurk) or post on SDN?

By SDNers do we mean people that know of the site and have checked it out or do we mean people that post on here regularly? The former is probably a large percentage, the latter a small percentage.

this.

The poll question is asking about lurkers and posters combined.

I didnt get a question at all 🙁. I just clicked whatever...

As stated before, I would say that people who actively post are a minority within the large group of pre-medical and medical students who are aware of, and seek and find answers on, SDN. 🙂

I would say that even the larger group of people who have ever used SDN is still a minority. Most of my friends in med school have never posted on SDN.

Pardon me. I meant to say that most of my friends don't know about SDN. I usually get blank stares when I mention it. I am part of the class that applied in 2005, however (we started in 2006).

Okay, guys time for me to get 1000 posts. Tonight. Yeaaa.
