What programs mislead/lied with calls/letters

Didn't have any issues myself but i know a few classmates in other fields who received letters making them sound like shoe-ins at programs, then on match day they ended up getting passed over by those programs....

Just curious if anyone had letters or phone class from anesthesia programs that didn't ring true?

Should be helpful info for next years interview class

Dude, it's the nature of the game! We do it - they do it!

Just because a program sent you a very nice letter or gave you a ring means NO guarantees! I got calls, emails, and letters but didn't get excited, so the trick is to remain positive but stay reserved.

Getting contacted by a program post-interview may be a good thing but they do this to their top 20-25 candidates....the people they are really really interested in!
