It is cut and dry when admin boards say 1 year organic chem, 1 year physics, etc. But it isn't so clear what will satisfy the 1yr English pre-requisite. If a course is done by the Department of English, is it necessarily an english pre-req? I can take a course called reading the historical past (or something along those lines), its offered by the english dept, but I dont know if it will fill the pre-req for med school. Or are the admissions suggesting that it should be writing based? Any ideas what can fill the english pre-req?

Do you understand that "a lot" is two words? If so, you are doing better than most people on this board.

But seriously, I think anything in the english department is fair game. I just listed the courses which I got the best grades in.
