Let's talk about things that really matter. Lunch.

What was your favorite food that you were given at interviews?

My winner: MWU AZ was having an event in the dining hall where they usually go so they had catered Italian food buffet style for us instead. I'm talking all different types of pastas, salads, GARLIC bread 😍, desserts, etc. It was fantastic. The break room that we were in also had all sorts of candy, granola bars, muffins, other things like that. This made me so happy because I had to rush to the airport after my interview and wasn't able to eat again until Southwest gave me a pack of peanuts mid flight.

My loser: UNE. They didn't feed us. We got a bottle of water. I almost gnawed my arm off because of how hungry I was.

Honorable mention: LECOM. We were given a mini can of soda and our choice of a wrap + a bag of chips. It was okay.

I was too nervous to eat anything lol. Honestly NYU's cafe wasn't half bad though.
Oh man I was miserable at UNE when I didn't get to eat anything. I woke up super early that morning and ate breakfast then. It did not hold me over... I have problems with getting "hangry" and when that's added to my usual RBF, it's a not a good combo haha

I usually get pissed off if I don't eat, but with everything at stake I just wanted it to be over lol

I just want to know what my UNE supplemental fee was used for because it certainly wasn't to feed me.

Kidding.

Kind of 😉

Arent you fancy, outing and dinner and some sort.

Oh I remembered it now. I had baked chicken and broccoli and brussels sprout.
Let's be honest. My parents brought me Taco Bell and I ate it in bed and then got angry when I spilled shredded cheese on my pillow.

I never thought about this but Columbia and NYU are my top two. It's an interesting coincidence that the best food was from the two in NY and the closest together.

I'm curious about Stony Brook and Touro now.

I forgot Buffalo existed as a school. WTF does NY have 5 dental schools?!

They have private schools that are unbiased about state of residency so I wouldn't look at it that way.

That makes sense. Although I almost feel like they have 6 schools considering how huge of a class NYU takes.

I wish we had more private school options in the south. I probably would have sold my soul to go to Emory but that's probably the MPH side of me talking.

Winner: Pitt! They had breaded chicken, I think it was chicken Marsala , pasta and salad. Oh and Dessert!

Loser: uic! They had granola bars and water bottles... And they were all gone by the time I finished interview since random students would walk in and eat.

Interviewer: "So why did you choose to apply here?"

Me: "SDN said the food was awesome here. They were right."

Actually I am not. Yes, the South has a slightly to moderately worse obesity problem than the North. However, socioeconomic status can be somewhat of a sheltering factor from obesity. Lexington is of a much higher socioeconomic status than is much of the rest of Kentucky, and the South and Appalachia overall. I found the women in Lexington to be very, very attractive, perhaps more so than any other place besides suburban Texas, and Miami if you are looking for beautiful women of a variety of ethnicity, not just Caucasian. The college town factor also has a large factor in this; I drive for Uber in Blacksburg and that place is unbelievable, but most of those girls are from the wealthy DC suburbs in Northern Virginia.

Every portion of the country has beautiful women, since beautiful women can come in different shapes, sizes, and shades. Your best bets are always the communities that are both affluent and diverse, and as far as Kentucky goes, Lexington takes the cake. Also, my perspective during interview season was pretty flawed. I'm currently living in an area where drug abuse, poverty, and obesity are about as widespread as anywhere, and the area is very rural. Other than repeats at the gym, I often go weeks without seeing an attractive woman. When I went to suburban and urban areas to interview for dental school, I was in sensory overload, as I was not accustomed to seeing multiple attractive women in public during a given week, let alone a given 15 minute span.

Come to Florida State 🙂

Pittsburgh had the best food, and I mentioned how good it was at the start of my interview lol
