What score did you get on your very first practice MCAT?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
AAMC 3 (first test) - 24

AAMC 5 (worst test) - 23

AAMC 7 (last and best test)- 27

May 27th MCAT - 28

Kaplan full length numero uno... 23... 5, 9, 9 - I left a lot of PS questions totally blank bc I knew I just had to study more. I got an 18 on the diagnostic like 3 months before that, that was 5 7 6, so that's some good improvement hehe. After like 2 months I broke 30 on practices though 🙂

I took my first practice MCAT during work without having taken all the requisite coursework and got a 30. My first Kaplan diag I got a 34.

23 (10 PS, 7 VR, 6 BS)

i took this pretty soon after quitting my engr'ing job.. so yea, the bio section was kinda rough 😱

8V 9BS 9PS on amcas4

after 23 days of practice tests and problems

real mcat:35, after each practice test I was improving 1-3 points

After reviewing for two months, I got a 39 on my first practice test. It was all downhill from there. I have no idea what I got on the MCAT (took it 7/8), but I sure hope I know tomorrow instead of Tuesday. The uncertainty is killing me.

25 -- (8, 10, 7)
AAMC 3 diagnostic

Hadnt taken Orgo and physics wasn't freesh in my mind at all. (chem was good though)

I scored a 15 (6,4,5) and until today i told myself tons of people must be scoring that on their kaplan diag but i guess not , oh well =)

28 (10 PS 7VR 11BS) Kaplan Diag in Jan. 2008
25 (9 PS 10 VR 6 BS) AAMC3 in May 2008
30 (9 PS 10 VR 11BS) real deal in June 2008

That Kaplan test was garbage. The AAMC was a much better indication of where I was.

When Kaplan diagnostic is mentioned does that mean a diagnostic from a class, or the online diagnostic? I took the online diagnostic, but was only given a percentage of correct answers for each section, and I am not sure how to correlate that to a score from 1-15 🙁.

1st practice was a 25 in October '06 (on paper)

1st real one was 27R in May '07 (CBT)

2nd real one was 31Q in May '08 (CBT)

28 on Kaplan diagnostic in late June.

I plan on taking the real deal in late September, but my last (and first) AAMC practice exam was a 36 (12/12/12) on number 3 🙂 (post-content review)

Kaplan diagnostic: 24 (PS 8, VR 7, BS 9) with zero reviewing
Kaplan FL average: 36 (about 13, 10, 13) with a max of 38

hopefully when I get my actual scores back on Sept 9th they will be higher than my kaplan average. My kaplan instructors said their actual MCATs were better than their kaplan scores but worse than the AAMC practice exams.

Princeton Review Paper exam (three years ago): 12
Real one (summer 05, also paper): 20

And three years later, I am yet waiting for my 4th score to come back...only a week and 2 days left....AAHHH!

28 (8 PS, 12 VR, 8 BS) on Kaplan diagnostic

33 (11 PS, 10 VR, 12 BS) on June 13 MCAT

Man I'm looking over the first AAMC I took. I can't believe how many retarted mistakes I made. Mistakes that were the result of math errors or basic concepts.

Absolute stupidity.

I feel you , man. Drives me nuts. I was looking over my AAMC 8 and could have killed myself for being so careless or being just plain dumb. I swear, if I could eliminate all of these, I'm looking at a score increase by 2 points in each section.
But I'm beginning to think these kinds of errors are like cancer or insect pests, however careful or diligent you try to be, they just aren't going to disappear. Gotta live with it and try to minimize them.

I think SDN may be inflated. lol Because I remember I got a 12 on mine and many other students in my Kaplan course got like anywhere from 10-18
