Hi! I was accepted to a school this week and am incredibly relieved and excited. Are there any current med students who have recommendations of what I should buy that will help me in med school? Like an anki remote, whiteboard, etc.

Thank you in advance!

Add air fryer to the list

I would recommend anything that would help make your studying more comfortable, as well as things that make the other parts of your life easier/quicker. Unless you're a genius that can remember things without studying, you'll have to dedicate a lot of time to it. So find ways to optimize the other parts of your day so you can spend more of it studying. The links posted above have some good items. I don't think you should get a whiteboard or an Anki remote unless you already study best using those methods. It'll just be a waste of money.

several schools give out Anki remotes

I am not clear it matters if you pre-buy an Anki remote--but get it through your head that you should use Anki. If your school has pre-made Anki cards--then use them. If not then it is not a terrible idea to think about one of the apps that turns notes into Anki cards to review. Anki has rapidly become the primary learning source for many Med Students.
