Background: I think I'm feeling a bit of burnout. So far, I've taken 3 TBR practice tests, and scored 32, 35 (13,9,13 on TBR3) a couple weeks later, and now 32 (12:8:12 on TBR4) again after yet another couple weeks. I was very tired and feeling exhausted during this last test, as I do now. I also felt that the VR section was exceedingly difficult on both of the last two exams. I am pretty confident fatigue/exhaustion hurt my performance on the last one.
Question one: How do you shake off burnout? What are the most effective and fastest methods to do so? I plan on taking a melatonin tonight to try to get some quality sleep, and plan on taking tomorrow off as a sort of rejuvenating day. I have only taken about 4-5 days off this entire summer, and I feel it catching up to me. I have been working out 2-3 times per summer, weight lifting only. Is this far too little? Does weight lifting prevent/help recover from burnout, or would cardio perhaps be better? In your experience, is cardio invaluable for mental clarity? Do you think reading relatively dense material will delay recovery? Should I keep it to light reading?
Question two: Today was one of my first days post content review (besides that last practice test). I thought it would be a good idea to go through AAMC's content outline and fill in the outline with information that I don't feel 100% confident with or that I think I might forget from MCAT-review.org on a word document. Does this sound effective or low-yield? SN2ED's 90 day study schedule does not involve any content review at all in the last 30 days, but is that really the best way to go about it? I do plan on doing all of the final 1/3 passages from the BR books, as well as all of the AAMC exams and one last TBR exam. My test is on the 27th of August.
