Ok. So I am a psychology major and in my last year of undergrad in Houston,Texas. If all goes as planned I should finish my bachelors by december of 2011. I need help as far as what I should do next, so here is my situation.

I did 84 credit hours at the community college level that transferred to my university. My gpa from the community college is 2.47- I dropped and repeated many classes, due to certain circumstances in my life.

I should have 36 credit hours completed from the university when I graduate.
My gpa from the Univeristy is a 3.0 and should be about the same when I graduate. My gpa from the community college did not transfer over only the course credits did.
These are the premed/predent courses I have already completed, all at the community college level.

general biology I - B
general biology II- D
General Chemistry I- C
General Chemistry II- D
Statistics- A
English I- B
English II- A
Precalculus- D
speech- A

So I was wondering what should I do next? Should I continue on and finish my predent courses as a postbacc. student, or would a masters in psychology be better or a masters in biology?
Also would dentals schools average out the gpa from both schools or just take my university gpa as my cumulative since my cc gpa didnt transfer over? I just want to get into ANY dental school in the U.S.

Thanks for reading and your help.

They take the culm. GPA. You will want to make sure each pre-req class is at least a C (or else it doesn't count).

some schools also have restrictions on how many cc credits they'll take

for ex. UDM only accepts maximum of 60 cc credits

so does that mean they will only take my university gpa? what does it mean by the cuml. gpa? does cuml gpa mean both gpa's from cc and the university will be averaged out?

Forget your CC gpa (your university already did)...thats irrelevant for dental school

Yes. EVERYTHING is considered.

Lets say you do academic renewal or some form of it because you got an F first time. I think what its called varies from school to school. While your school may "wipe" out and not consider that F and units as part of your university GPA. the AADSAS calculates both attempts and its part of of your cumulative gpa and either your non-science or science gpa depending on course.
