What should I do now ?
My mcat retook score was 496. so low..
I’ve already submitted my MD and DO applications, and my primary has been verified.
My GPA is 3.90, and I’m an ORM. CA resident
Clinical volunteering 350 hours
Non clinical volunteering 800 hours
Shadowing 100 hours
Research at lab 500 hours

Look up all the DO schools to find those without an MCAT minimum cutoff.
This is a time-consuming task, but I am sure you are motivated to do it and should be able to get it done in one afternoon.
Add more DO schools if you find some that will consider your score.

I’m not trying to crush your dreams but that’s obviously a pretty low score which will make it difficult potentially to get into anyplace reputable.

I’d say study your butt off this year and retake.

I know it sucks but it’s very common these days not to get in on your first cycle. You aren’t unusual or alone in this respect.

And you might get in somewhere! But I would probably plan for a retake. The good news is that you’ve done everything else, so this test is the last thing standing in your way. If you have a 3.9 GPA you can get an OK MCAT score. Just a matter of playing the game so to speak and a lot of work and sweat.

The other thing to point out is that the types of schools that will take someone with an MCAT that low are typically extremely expensive (like $500,000 range) in which case I wouldn’t recommend you borrow that much money anyway. Unless your parents are going to help with the financial side.

I think the 496 was the retake score 🙁
