So here's my story, I got a 20/20/20 on my DAT and I have a cumulative gpa of 3.69 and a science gpa of 3.65. I am in various academic and nonacademic organizations with leadership positions in a few of them. I am currently shadowing two dentist who ive been shadowing since last semester. I am a texas resident and got interviews at the 3 schools here but I haven't heard back from any single one of them. I'm already thinking of reapplying so my question is what else can i do to improve my chances? should i retake the dat since the scores seem to be higher now?

1) Did you only apply to the three Texas schools? If you reapply, be sure to apply to at least 10

2) You say you have been shadowing since last semester; if you applied this cycle then you weren't able to include your shadowing on your application right?

If you don't get in this semester be sure to apply to more schools and include your shadowing in your app. I would not recommend a DAT retake.

Yeah, it sounds like you only applied to 3 Texas school,s which imo really isn't enough.

you have nice stats, when did you apply? i would think that if you applied early enough you'd have no problems getting in.

and yeah, if you don't get in this cycle, apply early and to at least 10 schools. don't bother retaking the dat.
