so i know interview season is just about to begin and i was wondering how to go about answering this question. I know its pretty common at the end of the interview for your interviewer to ask what he/she should tell the committee. What's a good way about answering this? I feel like a safe approach is to sort of combine "describe yourself" and "why our school" in one sentence.
What do you think? examples?

Say that you will destroy every committee member if they won't let you in.

Say: "You mean you haven't prepared anything???"

Sure it'll get you rejected, but at least you can laugh about it later. Or not.

Say "I...will...CUT...you if I'm not admitted."

Uh.. actually if I were asked that question, I'd be tempted to respond with something like (jokingly) "That's a good question, something positive I hope?" I mean seriously, that seems like a lame question to me. It's not even a question. The interviewer has probably made up his or her mind at that point, wouldn't you think? So it's basically like "yeah I know what I plan to say already, but just for kicks, what do you think I should say?"

Uh... more seriously 😉 I'd probably just say something like "I have really enjoyed talking with you and learning more about your experiences with the school. Everything I've learned from you and from my time here has been really helpful. <insert some specific reason you like the school>. Thanks for your time. See you next year, hopefully."

that's how i approached it or i would throw in some other personal tidbit that hadn't otherwise been mentioned during the interview.

"the knowledge that i gained from doing x, y, and z will really allow me to succeed at this school and q,r, and s about this school fit with what i'm looking for."

obviously, how you phrase this depends on you and what are experiences are.

If the school was genuinely one of your top choices, would it be appropriate to hint that you would almost certainly attend if offered admission? I wouldn't want the answer to sound too desperate, but at the same time adcoms prefer committment over uncertainty?

Oh and OP - I just came back from Abuja a few weeks ago. Now I'm reminded of how much I'd rather be there than working on applications, lol.
