The one I have been using for the past 2-3 years I made on Microsoft Word, and didn't use any sort of template.

I think it probably looks pretty unprofessional, and I should probably redo it.

Any suggestions?

Whatever you end up using, make sure to convert it to a .pdf when you're done. I'm in the process of helping my boss find a replacement for me, and I've gone through dozens of CVs that look terrible because they used a different version of Word, or worse, they used Word 2007 and are therefore unopenable. With a .pdf you know what you see is what your potential employer will see.

yup. LaTeX if you can, or if not, just be absolutely sure to print it as a .pdf

no exp with Latex, but the consensus seems pretty legit

As far as the .pdf goes.. in an duel-platform environment, I don't think many seriously take that into account... but there is no reason to not present the best regardless

Thanks all

Microsoft Word

It's annoying, but you can make one as nice as any other program in word.
